I am currently writing an Estilian armylist for a house campaign that I am playing in and I have come to a bit block. I want the list to have some variety and flavour in comparison to the typical Dogs of War list.

I've gotten rid of many of the non-human elements as the Estilian inquisition would drive them off/burn them or anyone who works with them.
I thought about an inquisitor band type unit but I didn't really see them fulfilling a role in the army. I am not all that familar with spanish medieval troops, are there any unique ones that could be tweaked into the list? Alot of this still hinges on what 8th edition brings for rule sets currently I am trying to build a frame work that can be expanded upon....

The list currently includes:

Lord
Estilian Prince
Wizard lord

Heroes
Estilian General
Wizard
Priest of Myrmadia

Core
Pikes
Xbows
Dualists
Medium cav/Light cav

Special
Elite Pikes
Bodyguard unit

Rare
Cannon
Erm... I guess you've mean Estalian, right?

The spanish conquistadors-like warriors that use morions? Yeah, they are estalians.

Perhaps the Inquisitor could work like the Night Goblin Fanatics! After all, NO ONE ESPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION! Muahuahauhua!!!

Now seriously, he could have some anty-daemon and anty-undead flaming attacks? I guess those duellists could be both Diestros and Rodeleros.
This should really be in rules development though.

I'm planning an Estalian list quite soon though, so if you wait a while you don't have to write it Tongue

Atm though this list lacks lot of flavour, it's basically just dogs of war with extra pikes (republican guard). Ofc, Estalia is a bit tricky to make completely unique as they would be somewhat of a mix of dogs of war and the Empire imo. I will personally base them on the conquistadors and the inquisition, with units of witch hunters and warrior nuns Tongue
Warrior nuns that wield NUN-chucks!
I'll give them morning stars, is that close enough? Tongue
A friend of mine once wrote up some rules for 'Conquestors'- Estalian foot knights of myrmidia with pikes, full plate, hand weapon- and for 'Cortezes Companions'- A RoR unit with Muskets (30" S3 Move-Or-Fire Armour Piercing)

EDIT: Besieger, your last post reminds me a worrying amount of Chapter Master 454 on the Bolter and Chainsword...
