I am currently planning to convert a model I just bought and was wondering whether GW do any backpacks that I could use. I looked at the imperial guard tank bitz but I don't know what they would be like to convert to look less 40kish.
The model in question is the Kislev bear guy and I want to convert it to a chaos spawn. I use alot of my miniatures in my dogs of war, empire and WOC armies, and depending on if the allies rule is true I want to combine all the best bits of these 3 armies. So this could become a constant in my armies as I like the model. Any ideas on what I should do? I ideally want to get GW bits as I want to do the GW tournament at some point.
The Kislev Bear guy? The handler? Why would you want to convert that, sell it to me instead Big Grin
I'm not sure if this is the handler you are talking about, but this is the model I mean - http://www.coolminiornot.com/39883

The problem with it, which I didn't realise until after I bought it , is that the legs are moulded to it , so I would have to file it down. It has a piece of cloth thing on it as it is being ridden, and some backpacks would look quite good on it me thinks.
Ah, Tsar Boris... nah, already have that one Tongue

Wouldn't sell it Tongue . I'm just needing help to convert it, as I don't know where to find suitable bits.
A few of the Ogre sprues have various bags and packs...

Not sure how this helps with a Chaos Spawn though... Hope I helped.

Hey thanks for that! Rather then just convert my bear and use it as a chaos spawn, what I'll now do is put some ogre stuff on it and use it as a maneater. If the rules on allies are a bit limiting, then I'll still be able to use it in my Dogs of War army.
Privateer Press has backpacks -- they are for their version of dwarves but might fit for what you are looking for.
