I haven't played Dogs of War since the early days of 6th Ed. but I am planning on taking them to a tournement next month. Just wanted to run the theme and list by some people familiar with the army. Any tips, tactics, suggestions or dirty jokes are appreciated.

The army is the Clan of the Moon, a tribe Norsemen who are blessed/cursed with lycanthropy. Some of the tribe are werewolves. The other Norse tribes drove them off since as we all know, werewolves don't make good neighbors. So, the Clan of the Moon traveled south, selling their swords, claws, and fangs along the way. During their travels, they've picked up some civilized allies.

Here's the list:
Level 3 Wizard w/Sorc. Staff, power stone, scroll (Shaman)
Level 2 Wizard w/scroll, stone (Shaman)
Paymaster (Clan Elder)
Hero on Pegasus (still have to figure out fluff for this guy).

Beorg w/ 20 Wolfmen (using Norse figures)
28 Pikemen (using Leopold Leopard with the leopard skins painted like wolf pelts)
Oglah Khans Wolfboys (converted to Norse marauders on horseback)
2 units of 1 Maneater each w/BoR (These are werewolves who have grown to big to revert to human form. I've converted a rat ogre and a confrontation Wolfen into large werewolves.)
5 heavy cavalry
14 Crossbowmen
2 Cannon
2 units of 9 Duelists with pistols (Using Tuetogen Guard conversions, the pistols being thrown axes)
1 unit of 9 Duelists, with a musician

The Level 2 Wizard will take lore of the Beast (hoping to get Bears Anger on Beorg)
The Level 3 will take whatever lore seems best at time.

The Pikemen and Beorg's unit will be in the middle. Khan's Wolfboys, 1 unit of duelists w/pistols, and a Maneater/Werewolf on one flank, H. Cav, 1 unit duelists w/pistols and a Maneater/Werewolf on the other flank.

The Maneaters have great mobility when there's only one of them. They can misdirect charges, or come into the flanks to support the main infantry blocks. In addition to them, Khan's Wolfboys and the captain on Pegasus give me alot of mobility to take out war machines or other light troops.

Let me know what you think. Also is this a relatively comp friendly army? That's what I was shooting for.

Nice history for your army, Rogue5108! I'm not sure exactly about the cannon, but the rest of it is pure Dogs of War! Good list!

I found a really cool site (perhaps outdated) about Kislev troops:
http://www.inisfail.com/oldsage/whfb6/kislev6-soldiers.html
They even have a War Wagon, which I think is a great idea! (See
http://www.inisfail.com/oldsage/whfb6/ki...nits.html)

The armies of Araby are almost as diverse as Dogs of War, too. And, as you know, we can hire some of their troops.

You know, I made army books for both Kislev and Araby including a War Wagon in Kislev. You might wanna check that out if you want some more updated rules for it.
Mhh, I like the fluff behind this army, a strong theme is always good!
For the Pegasus Captain you could use some sort of a Valkyrie, it should fir pretty well. And you should scrap the points from somewhere to get your Shaman Lord to Level 4, 4 spells and a dice more are worth the 35 points!

Then a rahter personal question: 18 duelists made from teutogen? If you already have them, no problem, but they got pretty expensive now if you want to buy them online...

Greetings
Mork
