Anyone like it? The 2 pike units form the center of the army with the paymaster supported by the knights/shooting.
Time of Madness
I like it. I hope it works out because my 2250 list that I have looks very similar to it. Except I only go with one unit of Pikemen and go with some light cav and another Duelist group.

One question though, do we get 2 rares in a under 2000 army? I think we only get one. In fact I think we only get 3 characters in a under 2000 pointer, i might be wrong though.
If you playing 2k you get the lord and a 2nd rare yeah.
A friend had suggested to me--rightly, I think--that the Paymaster's Bodyguards could be replaced with an ROR unit that may be less expensive! Leopold's Leopards, for example, are Immune to Psychology, which helps, if a huge dragon is stomping toward you!
Put the captain where he belongs.. in a heavy cav unit.

I would give the wizard lord the general tag...

he/she probably will stay with the infantry who needs the +1 ld more then the Heavy cavalry who will have the captain with them for a +0 (as in nothing) gain in leadership. Further more is the survivability of a wizard (no combat) against the captain (killed in the first or second combat he will be involved in) much better...

put the wizard on foot.. no need for riding across the field.... most spells have 24 or 18 inches.

The Paymaster does not need support... keep the bastard out of combat... only exception when you calculate a 100% chance for him to survive combat... AND this man needs a horse, barding, etc, etc.... a.k.a. Armour save...

cut down one dispell scroll, with turn 3 you must be in combat and 3 scrolls are enough to get you there....

GET OGRES!!! Tongue looks like one, but it isn't a joke... take Ogres!!! 3 ogres with GW have 9 WS3S6 attacks for 123 points, 5 heavy cavalry have 5 WS4S5 attacks and 5 WS3S3 attacks... start calculating.... ogres are better...
