I think they all do, except those in combat. Not sure on Norse though, since they are frenzied...

In general I figured that the Paymatser overruled the regular ITP rules, but I also question the Slayer Pirates for being unbreakable. Still, I'm unsure so I thought I'd ask.[/align]

I go with.
Units that are not ITP. Have to take the panic test. They are immune to panic and its a panic test.
Now a more interesting question is when do you actually take it?
When he is killed -- defenitely.
When he runs off the table due to panic or retreating from an enemy?
Not sure about this. I have played it both ways. Panic test and no panic test.
Currently I am of the opinion that he has not been "technically" killed so no panic tests. The group I play with agrees with me on this ruling. We play by the letter of the rules, no house rules, we try to interpret the rules as clearly as possible.
The other question is: Which direction do the troops that failed panic tests run?
I play away from what caused the panic. Therefore away from where the paymaster was killed. Then normal movement for panicking troops.

Units that flees of the table counts as casualties = dead, ruleswise. Troops that fail a panic test flees from the source the first time, then towards the nearest table edge.

What about troops in combat? they don't have to test either i think with the new rules.

Units in combat are automatically immune to panic, and doesn't have to take fear tests either.

All units take a Panic test except;
Units immune to psyche & Units already engaged in combat
Units that are immuned are;
Slayer Pirates
The Goblin Hewer
Bearstruck and norse regiments if still frenzied
Maneaters
The Cursed Company
Leopold's Peopard Company.
Giants have the "Ignore Little 'Un Panic" rule, the Paymaster is certainly smaller than the giant and it could be argued that the Giant therefore is immuned to the panic the paymaster causes.

Besides, the giant is too dumb to realise this guy pays the rest of the army. As long as he gets something shiny at the end of the day he doesn't care about anybody else!!!
