it's looking good luix, you are absolutly on your way.

some advice on taking pictures:
Try taking pictures from a different angle. you mainly use 90%, 180% ... so the front, the back, etc.. taking pictures from 45% or 315% gives a view on the front and the side and gives more depth to a unit on the picture.
A second thing that might help is bird view

let's call it an outpost

Nice work you've done there, a fortress to me is though a place where you can survive a siege. This looks a bit tiny for surviving a full siege.

It is a nice little outpost to keep a key point at a cross road or a river occupied. Nicely done scenery piece.

Now start painting!
