Hello folkz!

After converting an entire Empire Army, an old huge boxed set, I've started to paint the SellSwords. And here he is, my general, the Condottiero Dom Aldobrando Aldobrandesco, also called the Heavy-Handed. Currently, he is the castellan of Monte Castello, with the duty to protect the Eastern route to Tilea and keep the trading roads to the Border Princes open.

So, what do you guys think? Can I style myself a true Dog Of War general now?Big Grin

Any feedback welcomed, lads!
For that true Dogs of War look, you might want to scrape off the overtly Imperial symbols like the comet.

the other improvement to your fig would be to use a wask or two of a darker colour for shading, and perhaps a coat of matte varnish to kill the shine, which distracts in photos.
Baddab Black and/or Devlan Mud wash would finish the model off nicely, never leave home without them! also I agree about the shine (might just be the flash), if you can get some Testors Dullcote that will help protect the mini and also take the glossy shine off.
Actually Reiver, I've kept Sigmar's comet because Aldobrando really worked for the Empire in numerous occasions, especially in the Storm Of Chaos. The horse's armour, as well as some patches of his armour were awarded to him after suceeding in defending Middenheim. Unfortunatelly, not for too long.

Thanks for the Feedback!
Oh noes! Here comes the crazy Biggolo Malucco!

Hey, you stole that idea from me..........before I made it through! Undecided

Well, I guess it's "who gets first grinds first"....sort of....anyway great Wink
Here, have some ducats!
Hmmmm in his left hand a sword with a pistol barrel worked onto it, an extra pistol on his belt and a second pistol in his right hand... special rule: festooned with pistols?

Try a wash on the face Besieger, it can make the face come out so much better. I use a brown ink/wash very thin and a flesh highlight. It help bringing out the expression of the models face.
