I am missing ranged attacks in the list Davros. Yes 10 xbow shots... I see them don't worry but still.

This army is what you call a one trick pony. It can rush forward and bash something but if youre opponent knows one or two things of manoeuvring youre toast. (the leadbelchers abillity is nice but not in effect to their role of assault troops. If leadbelchers shoot you have to measure range, a handy thing for youre opponent to take advantage from. And foremost, leadbelchers are in the first place wing protectors, hunters of fastcav units, flyers that kind of stuff, anything that cannot punch back properly.)

More "normal" ranged attacks (2nd xbow unit, lumpin's, a cannon maybe or change from general to wizard lord) will make the army more capable of doing more then just one thing. (Rushing forward and hope for an opening.) Maybe bringing the leadbelchers down to 3 each will give you the points to do that. And well... maybe switching from leadbelcher cannon to greatweapon will be an idea, I am sorry to say but leadbelchers are just not THE assault troops I would take if I was in a tight spot.
Henerius I agree with your points and I have the units you mentioned but the fact it is a one trick pony and is mean't to assault the enemy line with the LBs marching full 12 inches with the heavy cav covering the flanks and acting as a distraction for the big Dragon to land behind the lines and start biting stuff !

Ofcourse if I am up against Druichi and DOC etc change tactics and adoptmy 'Empire' list at 2250 . I have found in my games the LBs have distracted the enemy and been instrumental in disrupting some foes and charging with their bull charge and thumping the foe. In my experience some guys forget that LBs can act like Bulls and then tally ho !! PLus I have a Ogre fetish for the big guys with blackpowder weapons . Tongue

I am being called Ogre myself. And I am member of what they call an Ogre promotion team Tongue an Dogs of War army without any Ogres is no Dogs of War at all Big Grin

I like your list, Davros, and naming your characters makes them seem more alive!
However, I would suggest replacing your Duellists with Light Cavalry with bows, to protect the Venators' flanks and to soften up their targets.
But, you are more experienced than I am, so you've probably honed your units' skills in battles. Those are my ideas, though.
Wraiths would own this list mate, you have 2 magic attacks and 2 levels of magic, VC would love it! nice and fun though, always use LB in my ogre army.
But that can be true for any army fighting VC , depending if you have enough anti-vc items or I would just send Asarnil against the VC Deathstar and hope for the best !!
