Dogs of War

Some wip pics of one of the most in/famous Regiments of Renown: Desert Dogs:

Looks cool! What colour did you use for the skintone? I was thikning using tallarn flesh and bronzed flesh myself for my Araby army.

Bestial brown, will highlight it probably with bronzed flesh+bleached bone. The horse is a palomino breed ( check the GW article about that!)

Hmm, I used bestial brown too, but it looks way too dark on my models. I guess it's because I use chaos black for undercoat. Well then, good to know; if I'm not happy with tallarn flesh or bronzed flesh I can just paint them white first and then add bestial brown

In my experience it's much better to paint over black with bleached bone instead of white. It covers much better. It blends with browns perfectly( also other tones.)

Since at the momment I got stuck in bed due to some respiratory disease, I'm not in a good mood to paint. ( but I can still surf the net ) Hope to continue soon thou.

Thx, the riders are still not finished, because in between I got busy with my empire army, which you can see on warhammer-empire forum.

But now that I finally managed to finish it to 1000 pts or so, I have some space marines painting to do. Hopefully I'll catch some time in between to work on the riders.
