Only £2.50 in the day?
Prices have increased tenfold in that time.......then again considering the overall economic inflation since 1987 maybe that's not too bad.

Indeed if I were to so an Dogs of War ait would be a themed Nippon army based on either Dogs of War or Empire rules. If I can find one of these it might just cause me to start working on one... Hint hint everyone!

Having read the 3rd edition fantasy rules, it's amazing to see how much 'eastern' stuff GW did include back in the day. It's a shame that they will likely never go back and do a real Nippon or Cathay army. Excellent picture there Willmark!

Aah, but did Wilmark win it on ebay, and if so, where are the pics!?

Seems to happen just about every time I go for something at the moment - for stupid prices!
Good luck on the move - more room to expand into for the boxes of models you are going to buy! (and buy, and buy, and buy!)

If so let me know if you want to sell it.

Does anyone have a list and/or pictures of the all Nippon units? Or is there an unnoficial army book lying around?
Sorry for being off topic.

Again thinking of starting a small Dogs of War force starting with a general, war rockets (count as cannon) and some infantry. Probably some sort of Asahigaru. I'd arm them as pikeman.
Further thoughts to expansion would be a exiled dwarf clan serving as mercs within mercs! Ogres would be oriental ones (Oni); Heavy Cav would be mounted Samarui.
When used as count as Empire I'd go with foot samurai being greatswords; not historically true but close enough of as Dogs of War use them as count as Norse Marauders.
In any event they'd be a gritty force rather then a colorful one. The samurai would probably all be Ronin.

IIRC there were the rockets, heroes on temple dogs, samurai ashigaru and ninja. Some of the Aly Morrison sculpts were later produced by Foundry as part of their Samurai range, but as far as I know they no longer produce any of these either.
There were also a few odd figures like a dwarf samurai and a small range of undead samurai.
Look here for pics:

Check the ninja, samurai and oriental heroes links. Looks like they've got the undead samurai too.
