Warlord Games are also selling them

They look frikken awesome.

40 figures for less than £15
NICE!!!

Must... have... them!

Don't know what use they'll do in a Dogs of War army, but they are so cheap that who cares!?
counts as wassisnames wood elf archers...and some billmen for paymasters guard/norsemen/duellists of a different slant.
Or just use them as the basis of conversions. The Perry lineup can be used for quite a few Dogs of War units
Yeah. Like Halfling archers. Remember the Brettonian Bowmem?

Billman work nicely for Bodyguards, Norse with two-handed weapons... dear Myrmidia, the possibilities are endless!
Don't mean to be a thredomancer, but I've got got a box of them and will post a review soon. Suffice to say, they're compatible with the Perry multi-part Empire plastics from over ten years ago right down to the height, though the latter are slightly bulky. If you have any of the Citadel 1980s Perry Samurai figures, they're also compatible with the current Perry Japanese range, though slightly bulky too. Here's a Perry Wars of the Roses Update with preview pics of the next box containing plastic arquebusiers, crossbowmen and pikemen. Pics of the Perry Wars of the Roses Metals with two different types of field artillery.

If you're looking to save some $$$ on the boxes, I recommend buying from Maelstrom Games, as it's free worldwide shipping for anything over £10.00 and the Perry box's £13.50.
That is great news indeed! I might just wait for the new pike and crossbow box, and save the bill/longbow box for the Border Princes or something. Or I could just get both... Tongue

Since the pikemen will be holding the pikes upright, you'll need the billmen/halberdier arms for converting to an offensive posture. All plastic pikes should be replaced with appropriate metal ones, either purchased from the Perrys or elsewhere or made at home.
Why is that? I find the plastics to much more durable in this case, lesser chance of bending, and easier to fix should they break.

I suppose I just HAVE to get the other box now, wouldn't want my pikes to be too static Rolleyes
Nice plastics but they are Perry's no surprise there !!
nice group of guys with pointie sticks and long bows
i wounder if there armed with hunting arrows or war arrows??
They are probably armed with bodkin arrows, if I remember correctly.
Bodkins or Broadheads, depends who they are shooting at...
Well put. Depends on the armour the target is wearing, if I'm not mistaken.
Well, they are great miniatures in any case. And cheap.

I'm looking forward to the pike/handgun/crossbow set too.
Plastic pikes are too fragile. Replace with stiff metal (not wire) pikes. The packs of 80 sold by Warlord are pretty good. These are rigid metal and not bendy at all.
The historical group I game with is using these and they like them quite a bit.

As for pikes, they used piano wire if I remember correctly for their ECW stuff. It worked out quite nicely. So I'd recommend using that. Just be careful when moving your hand down!
