Hot Pot 50pts

Total: 1999pts

They paymaster only has a biting blade because I had points left over for it. Also, no special characters and that is why there are no Regiments of Renown allowed. Also why there is no Truthsayer, couldn't convince them that it was not a special character because it wasn't named (Dodgy).

Basic battle plan: put the crossbowmen (with the Wizard with lore of heavens supports/fires off lightning if he gets lucky) and cannon on a hill and provide fire support, along with the hot pot.

The pikemen line up on either side of the dwarf paymaster unit, with the duelists covering the flank of the side with 25 pikemen, and the duelists covering the other, forming my main battle line.

The halflings go forward as a decoy/march blocking unit which can maybe pick off so lone wizards or harass the flanks of units/war machine crews.

The Norse are a glass sword unit that will go forward (with the wizard casting bear's anger, maybe he gets it off, who knows and whatever other spell he gets), they either smash into the enemy and tie him up or absorb fire/march block for a few turns before the inevitably die horribly.

Any feedback welcome and appreciated!
Dogs of War SCs are Mydas, Borgio, Lucrezzia. If the TO's saying that RoRs are SCs, then get him to ban all Magic Items which are unique, along with all 0-1 units in each army.

Seriously, if these are the rules that you're playing under, I'd suggest you bring Daemons and just wreck house.

Don't forget Gahzak Khan and Lupo!

As much fun as it is to stomp face with Daemons (2k Tzeentch Magic Missile Storm, 22PD, and I need to take a 12 hour shower in acid to not feel dirty anymore...), I do like a tactical challenge every now and then. lol. But yes, these rules do seem needlessly restrictive to a degree.
Given that you'll likely be the only Dogs of War player, maybe ask him whether he'd like to reconsider his stance on RoR, or whether he'd prefer you to bring 22+ PD worth Tzeentch?

When the TO nerfs your Dogs of War, you don't need to feel "dirty" about fielding Daemons.

If your opponents ask, just 'fess up. "I wanted to take my bottom-Tier Dogs of War, but the TO decided they actually needed extra nerfing, so I changed my mind."

Hmmm, you know that is a good point...
Regiments of Renown aren't special characters anyway, this was specifically said in the FAQ (Which of course, clap clap GW, we don't have access too). The unit leaders are more like champions in that respect.

Is this ths TO specifically banning Regiments, or you assuming so because the TO said no SC allowed? Either way, talk it out with the TO I guess. I know most tournies in Australia allow Regiments in Dogs of War armies, but not others.
Got a rules clarification finally: ONLY Dogs of War may take regiments of renown, so I am reworking the list. Truthsayers, Dark Emissaries, & by extension fenbeasts are still banned, as are any other Albion stuff. Still, just being able to get my Regiments of Renown is insanely helpful. Regardless, I will retool my list accordingly. Thanks!

Yeah, I know that seems to be the common thing over here. Good to hear you can take Regiments of Renown, some of them are really useful upgrades (Looking at you Voland Smile or add another dimension to the army (Asarnil, Malakai Makaisson, Manflayers, etc). Pure Dogs of War can probably work, but you're also missing out on a few things.
I can see not allowing Albion stuff.

I'd take a Hewer, kills ranks like crazy, but I know others prefer Asarnil (terror causing).
