I know I was quite instrumental in the first Dogs of War book idea on our previous forum but seeing as the book development is a closed forum this time round I've gone m own way and I'm close to finishing off.
The book has 10 parts like most books but with a couple of unique bits; Mercenaries description -brief description of what mercenaries are, Mercenary history/culture -Tilea, Marienburg, the Old World, Lustria, etc,
Mercenary special rules - Dogs of War rule, Paymasters, Generals Race, Troop Race/Realms of men,
Mercenary troop types - Skirmishers, Missile Troops, Infantry, Light Cavalry, Heavy Cavalry, Freelancers, Chariots, Dwarves, Elves, Halflings, Halfling Hot Pots, Cannon, Giants, War Tusker
Mercenary Bestary
Mercenary equipment - Pikes, Bucklers, Pavies
Mercenary Magic Items - Mundane Magic Items, Dogs of War Magic Items
Contingent/Allies rules
Mercenary army lists

The greatest struggle was how to make the list unique yet fit into the Old World. It had to be predominately human, but not a variant of the Empire or Bretonnia lists. It had to be able to form a theme whilst giving the feeling of the diversity that Dogs of War have. Finally it had to be exotic and different enoug to grab attention whilst not so diverse and new in rules that the player had to go back to the book every time a unit did something.
I think I've tackled all the major issues that Dogs of War players face, theme, Paymasters, overpriced RoR's and pikes. I'll tidy up a few bits and post it shortly. It isn't as pretty as the Kislev or Araby list so I might ask for a little help on that.Smile
I look forward to seeing it Horus.
If you want to help keep M4c in order on the army book you can just shoot Slick a PM. It's locked just to stop it degenerating into a wishlist for each member.
Help to keep me in order?

Are you suggesting I might go on a points-value-rules-fix-nit-picking-spree?

Honestly, even if I felt like it, I hardly have the time any more now that I started college. Besides, I must first fight my internal struggle on whose side I'm gonna take in my own projects: mine or mine.

I usually win.
