With the next Word of Hashut in planning stages, I can actually paint stuff, here is something I bought years ago: Some Perry miniatures. And here the first one I have started painting: is my favorite historical figure: Henry V

Not done yet but getting there, the base will be painted brown.

Very nice and i do like the perry historical stuff. Plus a quote from my favourite shakespeare play :-D.
Many thanks, more work to go on it, but a nice start.
nice work on the livery too

What not a white charger? Wink
Because at Agincourt accounts say he rode a small gray horse before the battle o_O
Bah @ historical accounts Wink
Even worse some accounts describe it as a pony... Somehow I'm thinking the most bad-ass King of England, who was just about to pwn the French wasn't riding a pony. Wink
He probably didn't need much more to beat the French at that time.
Do you need more know Tongue

Nice model, I would clean up the face a bit though.
Yeah I agree as I noted I haven't finished yet Wink
Looking good!
Looking really good!

Bear in mind the horse breed they had then were very different from what you actually see in films.
So he wouldn't be going onto the battlefield on a Clydesdale.
Wikipedia Wrote:The Clydesdale is thought to have arisen from the mid-18th century cross breeding of local mares with larger English and Flemish stock for use pulling farm equipment and carriages.
But it's closer to the real thing than most Hollywood interpretations of dashing "racehorse" chargers.
True.

I painted the horses of my Knights for my Empire army in the coloring of Clydesdales, I just thought it looked cool.

I love history of certain horses, the American Mustangs are descendents of Spanish horses that got free.
Though English Knights on horseback were notoriously crap, dismounted however...

Plus they didnt ride about on warhorses all day.
When you have a longbow.... You don't need no stinking knights!
It's not just the bow (longbow was a post era term used by historians to distinguish the longer English bow from others) you needed to worry about. The draw weight on them was collossal- the upper body strength of those guys was immense- they were pretty much the cartoon image of a strongman, all chest and arms with little legs. There are accounts of them actually pummeling knights to death once they had dragged them from the horse despite the fact they had plate armour.
** Kera sprays the monitor with rum from choking*
Willmark did a non bad boy figure!!!!!!!
Kera calls the emperor!!( RIGHT NOW !!!!)

Byw it a nice painted figure but your still on report lol
Kera, I seem to remember Willmark posting images of his High Elf army at one time.
yea, as i said before there elves!! the only group that make trolls look good
What's coming next for these guys Willmark?
Not sure 4 more figs came with Henry V, I wanted to paint him so I did.

If anything more of my CD army, I have a TON of hobgoblins and goblins to paint,

Something like a 120 pound draw on them. All on the two fingers of the right hand. Imagine picking up a smallish woman with two fingers and you'll get an idea of how strong they were.

Apparently Robin Hood had a 150 pound draw.
I remember using 25-30 pound pull bows in scouts, and 50-60 pouund compound bows. Those guys must have been beastly strong.
