Good luck with the game.
Send back the results!
Tell us how it went for sure! I want to know how Mengil's freaks did especially!
Results of Buckeye Battles.

It was a 5 game tournament. I went 1 win, 1 loss and 3 draws.
Overall place 33 out of 72 that finished.

Game 1. vs Vampire counts. Draw
This was the type of game that if 1 of any 4 rolls was slightly differently then I win the game.
Turn 2
My level 4 Light Wizard of runs from Black Knights. He is 11.5 inches from table edge of the table -runs 12 inches.
Maneater with Great Weapon charges Vampire Lord hits and wounds with 3 attacks. Vamp saves 2 6+ armor saves.
Maneaters with pistols charge 20 ghouls. Leave 5 remaining. On VC turn he charges 25 into flank of Maneaters. Do 0 wounds. Maneaters loose combat by 1. Roll 12 on break test and flee 5 inches.
On turn 5 Voland and paymaster charge 3 BloodKnights. Kill all and overrun into side of Black Knights - with Banner and BSB. Leave champion with 1 wound left. Unit survives and I dont get Banners.

Game 2 vs Wood Elves -- new player with little experience, Result Win.
He had a dragon and treeman not much else. At the end of the game, the dragon and 1 wizard were left.

Best moment Manflayers get charges by Dryads, Giant Eagle, and Treeman.
Kill all Dry on stand and shoot. Eagle does 0 wounds. Treeman does 2. Mengals put 1 wound on eagle -- win combat. Both Eagle and Treeman flee --
(Eagle roles 11 , Treeman rolls 12).

Game 3 vs High Elves -- minor loss.
Very good and enjoyable game. He had a level 4 and a level 2 wizard, an 1+ rerollable armor save BSB and 1 other hth character all in a 30 elf unit of White Lions.
The halfling hotpot hit this unit 5 out of 6 turns. White Lions disappeared quickly.
Most frustrating moment. Inflickting 16 wounds on his BSB during a charge on Mengals -- him making 15 saves and having to only reroll 1 die.

Game 4 - vs Empire -- result. Draw - he played slow and only victory conditions gave him a draw. We only got into turn 4 when time ran out. Fairly booring.

Game 5- vs Orcs and Goblins. Result Draw.

Good game but not much happened. couple of bad rolls.

It was a very good tournament. Run extremely well. Lots of prize support.
If you can make it next year I highly recommend it.

Wow, good games Tarastop. 15 saves on 16 wounds! Crazy! Still like the sound of those Manflayers.
Manflayers are very good. I do enjoy You do have to be carefull about using them. They are a bit crunchy. Heavy armour in HTH is all they get. Since they strike last due to GW not many hit back. I try to avoid getting them into HTH.

The main problem is with their weapon rules. There are 2 ways to play them.

1. with Dark Elf repeaters -- getting Armour piercing and th epoison that only works in challenges.

2. normal repeaters (no Armour piercing) and standard poison.

I go with option 2

but other then that they are great. pricey -- almost 500 pts for 15 but hey they make up for it usually.
